This website is actually a learning object created with the support of both CLOE (the Cooperative Learning Object Exchange) and Inukshuk funding.

Production Notes:

The purpose of this website is to:

1. Show how the learning process and the lecture method can be linked through research and knowledge of best practices.

2. Provide a safe, secure and meaningful opportunity to analyse current lecture methodology being used by the instructor.

3. Provide direction for instructors to improve lectures.

4. Assist the instructor to prepare an action plan for growth.

This is only one phase of a very large project. The project plans are available through the portal web site.

Description

Keith Campbell is a North Bay pottery expert for whom I developed a small website that showcases his work and accomplishments.

Production Notes:

Keith wanted a site that would highlight his work and provide support material for any shows he was registering for. He also wanted assistance in securing a domain name that was easy to remember and meaningful...hence "www.keithcampbell.ca"!

I used a tight combination of fireworks, flash, dreamweaver, javascript and PHP to create the website. Although not entirely necessary, I used some javascript to add an annoyance factor to people who wanted to 'steal' the larger images of his work. I have also used php in the gallery area to make the production side a little less labor-intensive. One of the main hurdles was to find an effective way to add a lot of text to a website that needed to be graphically intensive.
